BE ORIGINAL
Everyone is creative.
So why don't we seek out originality in our daily lives? For me, the most practical explanation of originality and creativity comes from Steve Jobs.
"Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn't really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That's because they were able to connect experiences they've had and synthesize new things. And the reason they were able to do that was that they've had more experiences or they have thought more about their experiences than other people."
As this websit will attest, I have spent most of my life collecting experiences. When one strives to be a "master in the art of living", then work and play become intertwined. I frequently conjure up my lifes experiences in new and novel ways to add depth and dimension to any work that I may be doing.
I have also designed and delivered training programs to instill this idea that we are all equally creative. All that we need is a structure to deploy this creativity both at a personal level and also as part of a team in a corporate setting.
